Wow what a year! It went by in a flash, so fast I missed updating the website! I will post just a few of the high lights from the show season, ride season and just life.
2008 SHOW AND RIDE SEASON
6/1/08
Wow we just got back from the Region 5 Sport Horse show and BJD BELEIVE went RES. Champion ATH Stallion! I am really thrilled with this win. Beleive is proving himself in the conformation arena. His body is getting better every year. I still feel that he will be at his bast at 7 or older. He is so slow growing.
We started out the year with a endurance ride. I was riding my little half Arab/Appy cross
BJD NOTTALOTTA SPOTS. The ride was held in Othello WA Its called Home on the Range, Spotty had a great ride and managed to tie for first on the 50 mile ride with a time of 4:40. One flip of a coin later and I took first place PNER and the other guy took first place AERC. What a way to start the year! Then we were off to the first horse show of the season NW HERITAGE ARABAIN AND HALF ARABIAN SHOW. I took my bay boy BJD BELEIVE. We showed him in Sport Horse in Hand stallions he took a 4th place behind some really nice stallions. We also showed in the open halter stallions. He won the open and the amateur classes. Then we were off to another endurance ride Milwaukee Road Rail Trail in Ellensburg Wa. I took little Spotty again and she came in 8th with a ride time of 5:12 I think I had planned to slow this ride down as she had bruised her hoofs up at the first ride and I wanted to make sure that she would come in sound at the end. I had plenty of horse left at the end of the ride..what a great feeling!
April 28 we were blessed with a colt out of my mare RU-BN-ESQUE by our Freisain Stallion Knights Dark Remark he is a full brother to BJD Heart of a Knight. He is big and bay. I think he will be black bay when he sheds out his baby hair. Very nice and correct.We will be putting him up for sale soon.
What a year! Where to start. I guess at the beginning, Long story short. I have been training horses and riding endurance for so long that it just seems to be so second nature. I don't normally toot my own horn, but with this day and age of computer and Internet everyone can know everyone's business anyway..they just have to check the records. I am only posting those horses bred/shown in training 2007 So on that note
